Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Moutet.

"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."

The champion came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging opponent, winning 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first professional victory, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
Moutet saved four initial opportunities in a close deciding set before the champion secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the win with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
